Pop Art Quilt

Last year we had the blessing to have our first of several AMAZING student interns, Mr. Strawn.  He chose to teach a unit to 3rd grade about Pop Art and Andy Warhol.  Then we did some printmaking using freezer paper, acrylic paint, brightly colored cloth, and a common theme (this one is cats/dogs).  Once the students were done, I had a fabulous grandparent of one of the students in this class volunteer to make a quilt out of the blocks.  The quilt now hangs in the hallway at school.  Love this group project!
